How is X-Plane 10 with the Catalyst 12.3 drivers?

The AMD Catalyst 12.3 drivers were released on March 28, and at least one bug was fixed.  The release notes indicated the following:

XPlane Textures no longer exhibit flicker and corruption

I can confirm this statement is true.  For the most part, I no longer see flickering whether using HDR or regular AA.

As far as performance, The HD 7970 is still not performing at full capacity in X-Plane 10 compared with Nvidia cards.  I still cannot tell you who is at fault here.  All I can say is that, I’ve been reading, often obsessively, about the HD 7970 since I bought it.  From everything I’ve gathered, performance in almost every game or simulator out there is exceptional.

I’m still unsure why X-Plane 10 can’t match the results in other simulators and games.  Sometimes it seems like development is Nvidia-Mac centric, despite the fact that the overwhelming majority users are on Windows.  It is disconcerting when I can load up any version of Flight Simulator without any real issues.
