X-Plane 10.30 Beta 1

There are a few key changes in X-Plane 10.30 Beta 1 that have the potential to affect the operation of the XGoFlight plugin, most notably changes to trim interpretation.  As I work on the third development release of XGoFlight, I will take this into account.  If you are using the beta release, please feel free to send any bug reports my way.  The same applies to XHatSwitch and XRemoteFMC.  Thanks!

XRemoteFMC 1.0 Beta 4 adds Mac support

It appears as though Christmas has come early this year!  I was able to achieve Mac compatibility for the XRemoteFMC plugin much quicker than I originally anticipated.  Mac support is available as of the 1.0 Beta 4 release.  Although cursory testing has been carried out, this is the first Mac-compatible plugin from Caffeinated Aviator, so please don’t be alarmed if there are issues.  Please report any problems so we can take a closer look.

On a related note, we will soon start compiling Mac plugins for XHatSwitch, XGoFlight, and XDualToFullThrottle, so please stay tuned for updates.

XRemoteFMC 1.0 Beta 3 adds support for latitude-longitude waypoints

Great news!  XRemoteFMC 1.0 Beta 3, now available for download, adds support for latitude and longitude waypoints.  With this release, the plugin supports all major functionality provided by X-Plane’s default FMC.  After the beta release phase is complete, I will start evaluating new features.  Please feel free to make suggestions during that time.  Lastly, if you find any bugs or quirks, I’d love to hear about it.

After being out for a little over a week now, I have received tons of positive feedback.  I also fielded a plethora of questions from Mac users asking about future support.  I want to reassure everyone that I have it on the list for a future release.  From the start, XRemoteFMC has supported the 32 and 64-bit builds of X-Plane on Windows, and in Beta 2, I added 32 and 64-bit support for Linux users.  While I can’t provide a timeline, I am taking immediate steps to get an environment setup for compiling and testing Mac plugins.  To stay abreast of any changes, I recommend using the “Follow this file” feature on X-Plane.org, which provides an email notification each time XRemoteFMC is updated.

EDIT: Mac support added to XRemoteFMC in 1.0 Beta 4 release
